
Intern, Fan Experience

The Tampa Bay Rays 2026 Fan Experience Intern will assist in providing an outstanding experience for all fans attending events at Tropicana Field. Primary responsibilities will include developing and operating unique interactive fan activities and ensuring all fans receive outstanding customer service from event day staff.
In fulfilling this responsibility, duties may include:
Recruitment of Fan Hosts (ticket takers, ushers, interactive game hosts, wheelchair escort team)
Supporting event day staff with operational needs
Coordinating with vendors, entertainers, and other departments to successfully implement event day operations
Involvement in facilitating trainings for event staff
Communicating and resolving fan issues relating to event experience
Aiding with scheduling of Fan Hosts for events utilizing ABI software
Assisting with non-baseball events (gymnastics, graduations, etc.)
Developing organizational systems ensuring proper inventory levels for events
Supporting Tropicana Field tour program and Tour Guides
All other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
2-3 years at an accredited university or related experience
Customer service and training experience preferred
Ability to work professionally in an office setting with other departments
Confidence to speak in front of large groups
Experience in live entertainment or sports
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Computer skills (proficient in all Microsoft Office programs)
Excellent communication skills (via phone, e-mail, letters, etc.)
All candidates must meet the following criteria:
Qualified candidate must be available for the entire duration of the internship (March – October)
Applicants must be able to work 40+ hours per week consisting of nights, weekends, and holidays
