Community Experience Producer
Demand.io, Los Angeles, CA, United States
$22M revenue. Profitable. Bootstrapped. 20 people doing what competitors need 200 for.
Every AI assistant is trained to close the deal—to be the realtor. We built the home inspector. Product.ai tells you what NOT to buy, and we're the only ones who can. Now we need someone to bring that same rigor to how we show up in the world.
We are
Product.ai (currently operating as Demand.io) —the company building the verification layer for AI commerce. You may know us through
SimplyCodes—the leading AI-powered savings tool driving $1B+ in annual commerce . In early 2026, we complete our transformation and formally become Product.ai.
What we’re building:
Product.ai is a recommendation engine that doesn’t guess—it verifies. We ingest product data, marketing claims, and real user feedback, then use adversarial AI to expose hidden flaws and surface the products that actually deliver. Think "Consumer Reports meets ChatGPT"—but with receipts.
Why we’re different:
Perplexity summarizes the web—including the lies. ChatGPT is trained to be agreeable—it hedges. Google ranks by ads. We pre-verify claims through adversarial pressure testing and deliver the confident "No" that no other AI can. (Read the thesis)
We are seeking a
Community Experience Producer
to own the operational execution of every external-facing experience we create. This is not an office manager role—you will be the execution engine that translates creative vision into flawless reality for Vanguard (our invite-only community), HQ activations, and high-stakes rituals.
Why this role is different:
Most community roles are about content calendars and engagement metrics. This one is about physical production—events that people remember, spaces that signal excellence, experiences that make people want to come back. We treat our Santa Monica HQ as a theater, not an office. You’re the stage manager.
What You Will Build
The Event Production Engine:
Own end-to-end execution of Vanguard events—from kickoff brief to post-mortem. Registration flows, venue logistics, vendor negotiations, run‑of‑show, and the "Oh Sh*t" contingencies that separate amateurs from professionals.
The Threshold Experience:
Master the first 90 seconds. When 150 people arrive for a Salon, you own the registration flow, building coordination, security protocols, and the invisible choreography that signals "you’re in the right place" before anyone says a word.
The Community Infrastructure:
Build the operational layer of our Vanguard community—member onboarding, milestone fulfillment, engagement tracking. When a member earns recognition, you ensure the physical reward ships within 48 hours.
The Show-Ready Standard:
Treat our Santa Monica HQ as a theater, not an office. The "set" is always dressed for unannounced visitors. Candidate experiences, board dinners, investor visits—the environment signals excellence before anyone walks through the door.
Who You Are We do not care about your pedigree; we care about your mechanics.
You are an operator first.
You have a bias toward action under pressure. You fix the broken chair before the guest arrives—you don’t file a ticket about it. When the caterer cancels 3 hours before doors, you solve it. You don’t elevate it.
You are a systems thinker second.
You hate solving the same problem twice. After chaotic registration at one event, you build "Registration Protocol v1.0" so it never happens again. You leave documentation in your wake.
You have experiential production in your bones.
3‑5 years executing brand activations, experiential marketing, or hospitality. You know vendor negotiation, building security coordination, room‑reading, and the thousand invisible decisions that separate a forgettable event from a memorable one.
You read rooms.
High emotional intelligence. You know when to step in, when to fade, when the energy needs a redirect. You manage up, down, and sideways without creating friction.
You thrive in ambiguity.
You don’t freeze when the plan changes. You’re comfortable with last‑minute pivots and incomplete information.
You multiply with tools.
You use AI for vendor briefs, Notion for playbooks, Airtable for inventory tracking. You’re not building agents—you're leveraging existing tools to 10x your output.
Compensation & Ownership We operate as a high‑performance studio, not a typical corporation. We share the upside directly with our builders via direct ownership.
Elite Base Salary:
$95,000 – $130,000 . Competitive with LA experiential production market. Your base covers your life; your equity builds your freedom.
Profits Interest Units (PIUs):
You will receive a formal equity stake via
Class B Membership Interests . Unlike Stock Options, PIUs have a
$0 strike price , participate in the upside from day one, and qualify for
Capital Gains tax treatment , maximizing your long‑term wealth.
Ongoing Profit Distribution:
As an equity holder, you participate in our annual success. You are entitled to a pro‑rata share of our
Free Cash Flow (FCF) —receiving your portion of the company’s profit as an annual dividend.
Annual Liquidity:
We do not believe in "Paper Wealth." We operate an
Annual Tender Offer
where the company buys back vested interests. You have the option to turn your ownership into cash every year—you don’t have to wait for an exit.
Benefits:
100% premium coverage for you and your family, daily catered lunches, and unlimited PTO that we actually expect you to use to recharge.
Growth Path:
Year 1: Master the event engine. Year 2: Own community operations end‑to‑end, hire an Events Coordinator. Year 3: Director of Community Experience with a team of 2‑3.
How to Apply We skip the 60‑minute recruiter screen. Instead, you’ll answer a few short video questions so we can get to know how you think and work. Less time than a phone screen, and you can do it whenever works for you.
The Process
Click Apply.
Record short video responses to our questions (no prep required - we want to see how you naturally think).
Your responses go directly to the hiring team. No ATS. No keyword parsing.
We’re not looking for polished presentations. We’re looking for signal on who you are.
