Job Duties:
Responsible for the investigation of Federal and State statutes, and Jackson County and various municipal ordinances; performs a full range of professional, criminal, and internal investigations, regarding alleged violations of department policy involving staff, inmates, volunteers, etc Investigates and documents incidents which may leave the department or Jackson County in a position of potential liability Responds to all allegations and/or complaints originating from outside the department regarding enforcement of policy and procedure Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university. Two years of experience in corrections or law enforcement, with an emphasis on conducting extensive investigations. National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certification preferred Must have and maintain valid Missouri or Kansas Driver's License. Certified in Criminal Investigations and Administrative Investigations. Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence. Must submit to and pass a police background check and drug screen.
