
Order and Carrier Management Specialist

The Specialist, Order and Carrier Management involves accurately creating orders, managing resource capacity, overseeing carriers to control freight costs, tracking freight market trends, preventing unplanned dispatches, and coordinating with Logistics and Transportation to optimize fleet use.
Enter / create all orders with accurate details to ensure LPO is set up for success.
Manage capacity of internal and external resources to meet demands.
Manage carrier base to grow, retain, and minimize external freight cost.
Provide insight to freight market trends, rates and direction.
Ensure there are no unplanned orders on the dispatch board every day.
Utilize external capacity to meet the needs of customers, while providing feedback to Logistics and Transportation teams on when/where we can grow internal fleet.

Job Requirements
2+ years of experience in order entry, carrier management, or operation support in the energy or transportation industries preferred.
Ability to work nights/weekends when required based on business need.
Experience working with carriers, freight scheduling, or capacity planning.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Comfortable in an office environment with regular interaction with field/operations teams.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple orders simultaneously
Ability to pass a background and criminal records check along with a drug screen.
Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a similar field preferred.
