
Retail Banking Leader

Description
The Retail Banking Leader is responsible for the culture, performance and overall strategy of the retail branch system of Idaho First Bank. They play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the organization by leveraging relationship‑building expertise, increasing knowledge among branch colleagues and prioritizing the customer experience with a focus on profitability. Through strong leadership and a clear strategic vision, this position will lead the branches in increasing consumer and small business deposit and loan balances, and will be a key partner in attracting, developing and retaining branch staff.
Essential Functions
Ensure that the Idaho First Bank culture and brand is consistently reflected in all retail branches while maintaining the unique look, feel and personality of each location.
Define branch goals and objectives with input from Branch Managers and supervise them, providing support on day‑to‑day operations, staffing, hiring, evaluations, onboarding and training.
Lead the team of branches to meet sales and revenue targets while ensuring optimal client experience; work with retail colleagues to effectively communicate the value proposition of products and services.
Develop and implement onboarding, training and continuing education programs focused on the bank’s products and services, providing ongoing development to team members.
Identify, develop and recommend revisions of internal standards, policies and procedures and new products and programs to improve efficiencies and provide clear, concise guidelines.
Foster a culture of mutual respect, teamwork and collaboration with an emphasis on improving delivery of all bank products and services.
Motivate and develop staff, maximizing individual contributions and professional growth, enabling effective teamwork.
Develop and refine coaching and mentoring programs that align with the culture and goals of the organization; implement talent development and recognition initiatives.
Create Centers of Knowledge to assist branch colleagues and ensure consistency across branches, providing uniform and reliable client experiences.
Monitor service quality, product performance and overall client interactions to proactively identify opportunities and challenges; conduct frequent check‑ins with clients to ensure continued satisfaction.
Manage deposit and loan production activities, including development of products and services to retain and attract retail and commercial clients.
Develop strategies to attract a diverse set of customers to the brick‑and‑mortar model, expanding engagement beyond traditional deposit products.
Work effectively across all departments to achieve results, enhance client experience, streamline processes and optimize efficiencies; collaborate with commercial teams to exceed service delivery expectations.
Ensure compliance with all areas of retail banking, including monthly, quarterly and annual audits, records retention and other duties as directed by Compliance.
Serve as primary contact for facilities management; oversee maintenance and upkeep of all branch facilities.
Coordinate and assist with identifying and rolling out new branch locations to expand the bank’s footprint, including market analysis, lease negotiations, hiring, vendor management, IT procurement and planning of grand opening events.

Minimum five years of management experience in a retail banking leadership role
