We operate over 100 company‑owned branches, independent contractor territories, and approximately 400 independent franchise operations, serving ~90% of the U.S. population and parts of Canada.
Roto‑Rooter is seeking Outside Sales Representatives for both our Excavation and Water Restoration departments. Ideal candidates actively pursue sales opportunities and qualified leads provided by field service technicians and call centers. Prior outside sales experience is desired, but all experience will be considered.
Salary Range: $500 base salary per week. Commissions and bonus paid upon goals met with an average of $100,000–$125,000. This is an overtime‑exempt position.
Responsibilities
Engage in proactive follow‑up communication with existing customers to deliver effective solutions for their plumbing or water‑related issues.
Leverage our established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive quotes for repair/replacement options and effectively close sales.
Serve as a trusted information resource for Roto‑Rooter customers.
Excavation Sales Responsibilities
Identify and sell opportunities to repair and/or replace sewer lines for residential and commercial customers.
Conduct camera assessments of sewer lines to determine root interruption or breakage requiring repair or replacement.
Water Restoration Sales Responsibilities
Identify and sell opportunities to mitigate property damage caused by water to residential and commercial markets.
Perform assessments of property to determine moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying to acceptable levels.
Requirements
A valid driver’s license
Exceptional focus on delivering outstanding customer service
Thrives in a fast‑paced work environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Plumbing experience is not required or necessary
Organized self‑starter with an outgoing personality
Working knowledge of common software programs
Previous outside sales experience of in‑home services strongly desired, but all outside sales experience will be considered
