
Inland Marine Sales

Parker Towing Company,locatedin Northport, Alabama, isseekinga detail-oriented and strategic person for our sales department to support Inland Marine Sales. This Sales role willbe responsible for maintaining, identifying and developing maritime relationships that align with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with shippers, brokers, terminals, and logistics partners
Identify, develop, and secure new freight opportunities within assigned territories
Promote company marine transportation services including barge, towing, and related logistics solutions
Prepare and present freight rate proposals, contracts, and service agreements
Monitor market trends, commodity movements, and competitor activity
Collaborate with operations to ensure customer expectations are met
Negotiate pricing and terms while maintaining profitability goals
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasting reports
Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in freight sales, logistics, maritime transportation, or related field
Knowledge of inland waterways, barge transportation, and marine freight operations preferred
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to build long-term customer relationships
Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Willingness to travel as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, ora relatedfield (preferred).

Ability to work independently
This position is based at Parker Towing Company’sNorthport, Alabama office. However, flexibility to our surrounding locations such as Mobile, Alabama could be an option. The role primarily involves office-based work with occasional visits to customers, events, and brokers.
