We take donations of gently used mobility equipment such as canes, walkers, power wheelchairs, scooters, Hoyer lifts, and more and then work with the medical community to place equipment permanently with persons with disabilities in need.
As of December 2023 we served over 2050 adults/children, giving them the freedom they feared they would never have.

Organization Overview Renew Mobility is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing independence and improving quality of life for individuals with mobility challenges. We serve children, youth, seniors, and adults with disabilities across West Michigan through the redistribution of mobility equipment and community-based support.
Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and creative Marketing & Community Engagement Intern to support our mission through strategic communications, advocacy, and outreach. This internship offers hands‑on experience in nonprofit marketing, event planning, and community engagement, with a focus on cause areas including disability, health and medicine, seniors and retirement, children and youth, and community development.
Key Responsibilities Marketing & Communications
Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote programs, events, and impact stories.
Create compelling content for newsletters, blog posts, press releases, and donor communications.
Support brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
Social Media
Manage and grow Renew Mobility’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
Develop and schedule engaging content including graphics, videos, and stories.
Monitor analytics and suggest strategies to increase reach and engagement.
Advocacy & Outreach
Help craft messaging that promotes disability awareness and inclusive mobility.
Assist with outreach to community partners, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups.
Support efforts to amplify the voices of those served by Renew Mobility.
Community Engagement & Events
Assist in planning and promoting fundraising and awareness events (e.g., “Fowling to Keep ‘Em Rolling”).
Coordinate event logistics, volunteer communications, and post-event follow-up.
Represent Renew Mobility at community events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
Passion for disability advocacy, health equity, and community development.
Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
