Position Overview BTG is seeking motivated and results-driven Sales Representatives to promote and sell Virtual Geneticist™ to clinical laboratories, health systems, genetic testing programs, and research organizations. This is a high-impact role suited for professionals with experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences technology sales. The position offers a competitive monthly salary plus generous commission, along with strong technical and marketing support from BTG’s internal team.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and develop new business opportunities with clinical diagnostic laboratories, genetic testing providers, health systems, hospitals, CROs, and research organizations.
Position Virtual Geneticist™ as a solution for laboratories scaling genetic testing volume or interpretation capacity.
Support clinics seeking faster and standardized clinical reporting.
Engage research groups requiring robust genomic annotation pipelines.
Work with organizations building or optimizing genetic testing services.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure with BTG support.
Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking using BTG-provided tools.
Collaborate with BTG’s technical and leadership teams for product demonstrations, technical discussions, and contracting.
Qualifications
PhD or MS in Life Sciences or related field.
At least 10-year sales experience in diagnostics, genomics, SaaS, or database-driven sales.
Proven track record of sourcing and closing B2B or B2B2C healthcare deals.
Knowledge of genetics, genomics, NGS workflows, or clinical lab operations is strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and coordinate with a lean, fast-paced team.
Annual base salary: USD $120,000.
Sales enablement support, training, and onboarding provided.
Marketing collateral and technical demo support from BTG.
Territory
Leverage existing professional network.
BTG ensures account deconfliction and client–representative exclusivity.
