Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician (American Fire Shield – Woodstock, GA / Canton, GA / Jasper, GA / North Georgia) American Fire Shield is seeking an experienced Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician to join our growing team. We are a family-owned fire protection company serving commercial kitchens across Georgia, providing installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers.

This position is ideal for a technician who already holds the required state permits and certifications for kitchen suppression systems and fire extinguishers and wants the opportunity to earn more based on productivity.

Pay $1,200 – $1,500 per week starting base pay. In addition to base pay, technicians earn production-based commission on completed work. Top technicians who move efficiently and complete more work can earn significantly more. There is no ceiling on earnings.

Schedule Monday – Friday. Full-time position with consistent work.

What You'll Do

Perform semi-annual inspections and service on commercial kitchen fire suppression systems

Service and maintain major suppression system brands including Ansul, ProTex, Pyro-Chem, Range Guard, Badger, Buckeye, and others

Perform fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance, and replacements

Troubleshoot and repair suppression systems when needed

Assist with installation of new kitchen fire suppression systems

Ensure systems remain compliant with NFPA and local fire codes

Maintain professional service documentation and reports

Requirements

Valid kitchen fire suppression technician certifications/permits

Fire extinguisher service certification/permit

Experience servicing commercial kitchen fire suppression systems

Knowledge of UL300 compliant systems and NFPA standards

Ability to work independently and represent the company professionally

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Experience

Experience with Ansul or ProTex systems

Installation experience

Previous fire protection industry experience
