Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages, and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within the limit of authority. Creates comprehensive estimates of damages for homeowners first‑party claims, leading to proper disposition.
About the Role National General seeks a skilled and experienced Field Property Adjuster who brings strong technical ability and a customer‑focused mindset. The ideal candidate will have prior field experience with an insurance carrier, strong proficiency in Xactimate, and active TX/LA licenses (or reciprocal).
This role requires independent estimate and supplement writing in the field while maintaining accuracy, detail, and sound judgment. A solid understanding of wind and hail damage is essential, along with effective negotiation skills in a fast‑paced environment. Candidates must reside in the Shreveport or West Monroe area to handle Northern Louisiana and East Texas claims.
Key Responsibilities
Build functional relationships with both internal and external customers.
Apply a sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities in the file within authority limits.
Demonstrate sound understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
Demonstrate proficient estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on advanced first‑party homeowner claims.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is:
Field Property Cons I: $53,500.00 - $77,800.00 per year
Field Property Cons II: $56,000.00 - $82,500.00 per year
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components such as incentive pay (commission or bonus), if applicable.
