
Sales Manager (Aircraft Seating)

Job Summary
The Aircraft Seating Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across all seating product lines and managing the full quotation and proposal process. This role builds and maintains strong customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, analyzes market trends, and partners closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction while supporting the company’s strategic and financial objectives.
Business Development & Customer Engagement
Build, manage, and expand professional relationships at all levels within targeted customer accounts to identify opportunities for quotations, proposals, and long‑term partnerships.
Leverage industry knowledge to identify new prospects and expand market share within the aircraft seating sector.
Represent the company at customer sites, industry events, and within the broader market community to strengthen brand presence and credibility.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute strategic sales plans outlining customer contact cadence, account responsibilities, and measurable goals.
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and pricing strategies aligned with market conditions, competitive activity, and economic indicators.
Support annual sales planning activities in collaboration with the CEO and operations leadership.
Quotation, Contracting & Internal Coordination
Oversee the quotation process, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive proposals.
Collaborate with legal and operations teams to finalize contracts with appropriate terms and conditions aligned with company policies and capabilities.
Ensure efficient, timely responses to customer inquiries by coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
Prepare detailed trip reports for all sales and marketing visits, including: date, location, company, contact information, purpose of visit, discussion topics, project details, and timelines.
Monitor and manage sales‑related expenditures to remain within budgetary requirements.
Brand, Marketing & Promotion
Support advertising, promotional initiatives, and overall brand positioning efforts.
Uphold consistency and discipline in applying ZIM Aircraft Cabin Solutions brand guidelines across all customer‑facing materials and presentations.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations showcasing company products, capabilities, and value propositions.
Secondary Duties Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or Operations Management; Advanced Degree desirable
Ten (10) years’ experience in the commercial aircraft interior industry is desirable, preferably in sales, engineering or a program management role.
Working knowledge of sales processes, procurement practices and contractual terms and conditions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly developed negotiation and presentation skills; powers of persuasion
Excellent technical understanding of highly complex interior products and reconfiguration services
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, capable of operating effectively with a minimum of direction, and able to work effectively under pressure with significant interaction within all levels of the organization.
Familiarity with financial models
Strong interpersonal relationship skills
Professional and presentable
Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong team building attributes.
Must and be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally (50%).
