Job Summary We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented

Leasing Agent

to join our affordable housing team. In this role, you’ll be the face of multiple residential communities — connecting individuals and families to quality, affordable housing while ensuring compliance with program regulations. This is more than a leasing job; it’s an opportunity to help people find a home and build stronger communities.

Key Responsibilities

Affordably Housing Leasing & Sales: Actively market and lease units in compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs to meet occupancy goals.

Customer Service: Deliver an outstanding leasing experience to prospective and current residents, guiding them through the application and certification process with care and professionalism.

Compliance Management: Complete income certifications, annual recertifications, and interim updates, maintaining accurate and compliant resident files.

Property Marketing: Implement creative marketing campaigns — both digital and in-person — to reach eligible applicants and build strong community connections.

Administrative Duties: Process applications, lease agreements, and renewals accurately while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and affordable housing requirements.

Multisite Coordination: Travel between assigned properties to conduct showings, support on‑site leasing teams, and manage leads.

Resident Relations: Build positive relationships with tenants, responding to concerns quickly and ensuring a supportive community environment.

Market Research: Monitor affordable housing market trends, income limits, and regulatory changes to recommend effective leasing strategies.

Reporting & Compliance: Maintain thorough leasing records, prepare required reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Qualifications

Experience Level:

Entry Level, Mid-Level

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (affordable housing training or certifications a plus)

Experience:

1–5 years of leasing or property management experience preferred (knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 strongly valued)

Skills:

Strong communication, organization, and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software
