Development & Alumni Manager . The Development & Alumni Manager is a key member of the administrative staff, providing essential support to the organization’s fundraising and outreach efforts. Across all departments, work at Talcott Mountain is defined by a commitment to innovation, mission-driven storytelling, and the cultivation of a vibrant, supportive community. In this role, the successful candidate will oversee the success of a robust annual fund campaign, coordinate impactful fundraising events—including the annual Talcott Together dinner and auction—and collaborate on compelling grant applications. Additionally, this position serves as the primary steward of the organization’s fundraising database and the lead coordinator for alumni engagement, ensuring that former students and families remain a vital part of our community. The successful candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, from high-wealth donors to government officials. Highly organized and proactive, the successful candidate will demonstrate a firm commitment to the organization’s mission, a strong sense of personal initiative, and the ability to manage complex projects with integrity and confidentiality. Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of three years of comprehensive fundraising experience (preferably in an educational or non-profit setting), and direct, hands‑on experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation for occasional regional travel.
