Minimum Requirements
Drupal Experience
Experience managing and maintaining Drupal websites with understanding of configuration, content types, workflows, user roles, permissions, performance optimization, UX/UI, SEO, and accessibility standards.
Acceptable Documentation:
Resume with Drupal versions and scope of responsibility.
Portfolio or work samples, including:
Links to Drupal sites worked on or managed.
Description of specific role on each site.
Examples of content strategy, information architecture, governance framework, and/or site audit/optimization work.
Examples of web strategy documents, UX recommendation briefs, roadmap documents, governance frameworks.
Proof of certifications, if applicable.
Copywriting for Websites
Strong proven experience in copywriting for websites.
Acceptable Documentation:
Portfolio with web pages, architecture documents, before/after copywriting examples.
User Experience & Website Metrics
Deep understanding of UX strategy and website analytics, including tools, scope, and measurable outcomes.
Acceptable Documentation:
Resume documenting UX strategy/analytics experience.
Work sample demonstrating analysis of website metrics & user experience findings with data‑driven recommendations.
Optional documentation: UX certification, Drupal UX contributions, Google Analytics certification, Accessibility training (WCAG 2.1/2.2).
Desirable Qualifications
Proven experience as web content manager/editor with strong copywriting skills focused on accessibility, cultural competency, and UX.
Experience working with Drupal CMS.
Excellent creative & visual skills; proficiency with digital photography, videography, and related tools strongly desired.
Knowledge of UX principles to create functional, service‑oriented, attractive digital environments.
Experience using agile or iterative approach to design, develop, and deploy websites.
Direct experience in communications project management: vendor selection, organizational skills, managing multiple projects (timelines, budgets, priorities).
Knowledge of Digital Accessibility standards and implementation tools.
Excellent relationship and consensus building skills.
Knowledge of San Francisco’s diverse communities and how audiences access information digitally.
