Digital Accessibility Lead Overview Join a transformative organization as a Digital Accessibility Lead, where your expertise will shape inclusive digital experiences across multiple teams. This visible and impactful role is critical in ensuring that our digital platforms meet global accessibility standards, protect our organization from compliance risks, and uphold our commitment to inclusivity. As the first accessibility expert within the company, you will have considerable influence and visibility, working closely with design, engineering, legal, and product teams to embed accessibility into every facet of our digital content and tools.
Required Skills
Minimum of 5 years experience in digital accessibility, inclusive design, or UX roles
Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508, EN 301 549 standards and legislation
Expertise in reviewing and annotating digital designs, prototypes, and assets for accessibility
Hands‑on experience with accessibility testing tools such as Wave, Axe DevTools, Lighthouse, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Android TalkBack
Demonstrated ability to work with Figma, managing accessible design systems and component libraries
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ARIA, and accessible native mobile development techniques
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of UX principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility best practices
Nice to Have Skills
Professional accessibility certifications (e.g., IAAP CPACC, WAS) or equivalent
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar project management toolsFamiliarity with automated and AI‑driven accessibility solutions
Experience collaborating with external accessibility consultants and vendors
Background in regulated industries like healthcare, financial services, or higher education
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in digital accessibility or inclusive design roles
Proven experience working within Figma and maintaining accessibility standards in design systems
Prior exposure to Agile development environments
