Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing and Event Coordinator Intern to support the planning, coordination, and execution of events and marketing initiatives for a Nonprofit organization. The intern will work closely with the marketing team to enhance the organization’s presence and engagement through various events and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities Below are the primary duties and responsibilities for this role.

Event Coordination

Assist in planning and organizing events, such as workshops, conferences, webinars, and promotional events.

Support venue selection, vendor coordination, and event logistics.

Help with event registration, attendee management, and follow‑up communications.

Prepare event materials, such as brochures, presentations, and promotional items.

Coordinate on‑site event set‑up and support during events as needed.

Marketing Support

Assist in creating and curating content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and email campaigns to promote events and marketing initiatives.

Help manage the organization’s social media accounts by scheduling posts, tracking engagement, and generating reports.

Collaborate with the design team to create promotional graphics, banners, and other visual content.

Assist in managing and updating the organization’s website and event pages.

Administrative Tasks

Maintain organized records of event details, communications, and participant information.

Assist in preparing post‑event reports, including feedback analysis and performance metrics.

Research marketing trends, competitor events, and innovative event strategies.

Collaboration

Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including sales, communications, and product development, to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all marketing efforts.

Engage with vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure support and resources for events.

Qualifications

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).

Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Enthusiasm for event planning, marketing, and brand building.
