Role Overview We seek a creative, strategic, and culturally attuned Social Media Manager to lead SEV’s organic social presence across all platforms. This role will own social end-to-end — from strategy and content planning through execution, publishing, and performance — ensuring our channels drive brand heat, engagement, and measurable business impact. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty, deeply fluent in social trends and platform best practices, and experienced in building premium, high-performing brand presences.
Key Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social strategy aligned to brand and business goals; own the content calendar across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube, among other channels.
Content Development & Creative Direction:
Concept and own creation of social-first content (video, photo, UGC, text); ensure a cohesive, elevated aesthetic and consistent brand voice.
Publishing & Channel Management:
Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and platform optimization, ensuring best practices across formats including Reels, TikToks, Stories, and Shorts.
Community Management:
Oversee engagement strategy, ensuring timely, thoughtful responses in comments and DMs and fostering a best-in-class guest experience.
Performance & Optimization:
Track KPIs including engagement, reach, growth, and conversions; analyze performance and continuously optimize content strategy.
Trend & Cultural Monitoring:
Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging formats, and cultural moments, translating them into on-brand opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Creative, PR, Influencer, and Field teams to support campaigns, launches, promotions, and local initiatives.
Who You Are
5+ years of experience managing social media for a consumer brand (beauty, wellness, lifestyle preferred).
Strong creative instincts with a refined eye for premium brand presentation.
Deep fluency in Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Seasoned video producer and editor with the ability to concept, shoot, and edit high-quality, platform-native content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.) on a consistent basis.
Proficient in basic graphic design using tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to adapt templates and create on-brand assets.
Strong copywriting skills and ability to adapt tone across platforms.
Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing performance and translating insights into action.
Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Available to travel frequently to SEV locations throughout Los Angeles for on-site content production and shoots.
