Pay Rate:

$50-60/hr

Location:

Falls Church, VA (On‑site 3 days per week; Remote/Hybrid allowance 2 days per week)

Degree Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years experience OR Master's Degree with 8+ years experience.

Certifications:

Instructional Design certificates are a plus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree AND 10+ years of related work experience in facilitator‑led Instructional Design in a corporate L&D function.

Demonstrated Instructional Design/Development skills in professional or soft‑skills instructor‑led learning (samples/demo required).

Track record for delivering measurable performance outcomes that enable skill development.

Ability to write performance outcomes, learning objectives, and evaluation measures.

Knowledge of learning and performance development best practices.

Experience interacting with senior leaders in a large, fast‑paced, highly complex enterprise.

Willingness to deliver a 15–20‑minute presentation to Senior Leadership as part of the final interview.

Experience designing complex, multi‑component professional skill or leadership development and/or onboarding programs (plus).

Experience in government contracting program/project leadership (plus).

Nice to have

Master’s degree in Instructional Design.

Instructional Design certificates.

Responsibilities

Balance the workload of multiple L&D projects per agreed timelines, delivering high‑quality products and meeting milestones.

Facilitate L&D project kick‑offs and milestone meetings with Business Sponsors, L&D resources, SMEs, stakeholders, and Senior Leaders.

Conduct discovery activities to define desired performance outcomes, gaps, cascading objectives, and measurement strategies.

Determine the most effective learning approaches, techniques, and technologies to achieve objectives and outcomes.

Communicate to stakeholders the connection between program content, outcomes, and business results to gain sign‑off.

Design program events, activities, and exercises (sequencing and timing) ensuring relevance, business‑mindset, and engagement.

Produce design documents detailing the process and program justification.

Develop all program assets and materials: workshop events, facilitation guides, learner workbooks, job aids, etc.

Establish measurement and monitoring plans to ensure effective implementation via curriculum mapping and metrics.

Collaborate with internal L&D team to implement learning solutions.

Collaborate with L&D leadership and stakeholders to produce marketing materials for new or enhanced learning programs.

Ensure all solutions are accessible and meet usability standards.

Champion and influence the achievement of our L&D mission and guiding principles.

Exhibit L&D excellence and seek continuous professional development.

Build strong consultative partnerships with Project Sponsors and Business Stakeholders.

Facilitate sessions up to 10% of the time.
