Strategic Marketing Manager, North America The NA Marketing Manager will participate in the global marketing function as the regional lead in determining the strategy and actions to deliver growth and revenues for the business. This role is crucial in developing and driving our strategic plan, overseeing product management (including identifying product roadmaps, preparing business cases, delivering on new product launches), executing trade events and developing pricing strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior and competitive analysis to enhance our brand presence and achieve business objectives. The Marketing Manager will develop strong business relationships with customers, understand key market drivers, complete competitor analysis and aggressively pursue expanding Garrett’s product reach into the region.

Responsibilities

Regional responsibility for defining 5‑year strategic plan, annual operating plan, pricing strategy and product roadmap (including preparing and presenting business cases, product launch actions, tracking sales and taking quick action to meet plan). Provide competitive intelligence and voice of the customer (VOC) via interaction with distributors, mechanics and end customers.

Manage a direct report to support channel and regional analysis to meet KPIs (including revenue and volume targets).

Support digital initiatives in the region by engaging with the sales team and customers to determine success factors and training/promotional needs.

Manage direct report, including determining, monitoring and reviewing goals to meet performance objectives.

Build strategic campaigns to promote sales and brand equity to targeted segments.

Provide support at Garrett and distributor events/fairs (may overlap weekends).

Define omnichannel approach for both physical and digital requirements to support the business.

Activate global value propositions to cascade messages down through the SR value chain stakeholders.

Design and implement community engagement and activation activities for the NA region.

Oversee product management and identify product roadmaps within the context of the global strategy. Serve as the NA proxy for Global Product Management and work in collaboration with Global Product Managers.

Implement NA pricing strategies developed in line with strategic global pricing principles.

Support regional sales goals by providing regular data inputs for monthly demand planning, sales and marketing reviews, supply chain and accounts receivable meetings.

Deploy actions to achieve revenue and volume targets for the North American region by supporting identification/review of channel expansion targets and employing marketing tactics to develop existing customers and grow opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management or a similar field.

10 years in marketing or business development; automotive industry preferred.

Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with ability to identify how best to relate Garrett’s value proposition to targeted accounts.

High degree of time management and organization skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects, direct reports and delegate to achieve results.

Driven, resilient and resourceful to challenge and influence sales team, internal support functions and external customers to achieve results.

Adept at marketing analysis, pricing strategies and financial reporting with demonstrated ability to present to varied audiences, including senior level executives.

Strong attention to detail while maintaining a good perception of the big picture.

Passionate about growing skillset and developing business opportunities.

Pay Range The salary range for this role is between $120,400 and $145,000. Note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, education, training, and/or experience.
