Position Overview
As the oldest and largest tree care company in the United States, Davey has a rich heritage of scientific and environmental leadership. We’re looking for a proactive, data‑driven Sales Activation Lead to streamline our commercial lead process and strengthen alignment between Marketing, Sales, and Operations. In this role, you’ll improve lead quality, enhance CRM usage, and equip Business Development Representatives with the training and tools needed to convert more opportunities.

Job Duties Key Responsibilities
Collaborate on the development and implementation of a scalable sales activation strategy aligned with business goals, including:
Create, document, and distribute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for commercial lead processing.
Directly execute initial sales outreach to qualify buyers, ensuring high‑quality handoff to Business Developers.
Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps, CRM improvement opportunities, and training needs.
Support alignment efforts between sales, marketing, and business operations.
Sales Training & Development
Provide training and template execution for Act‑On email program to Business Developers.
Design and deliver onboarding programs and continuous training sessions for sales representatives.
Identify skill gaps and create targeted training or coaching programs.
Support CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) utilization and SOP compliance for sales activities.
Sales Enablement Content & Tools
Manage email marketing and automation platforms, providing templates and execution training to Business Developers. Serve as the bridge between Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure consistent messaging and material usage.
Process & Performance Optimization
Track sales activation KPIs (e.g., close rates, lead response times, CRM compliance).
Drive CRM adoption by improving workflows. Solicit and analyze feedback from sales representatives to refine and evolve activation workflows and marketing programs.
Ensure consistent and accurate reporting efforts through data entry compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
3–5+ years in sales enablement, sales operations, or marketing operations.
Strong CRM and marketing automation experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
Understanding of MQL/SQL pipelines, lead funnels, and sales cycle stages.
Ability to work with dashboards, reporting tools, or Power BI platforms.
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Collaborative approach; effective working across Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
Excellent communication, training, and process‑building skills.
Prior experience working directly with sales teams, preferably in a B2B environment.
Experience building or managing lead qualification processes, CRM workflows, or sales onboarding.
This position is hybrid to our corporate office in Kent, Ohio. Candidate must be able to commute to Kent.
