Position Summary The Merchant – Lingerie leads category merchandising strategy for one of SKIMS’ most technical and high-growth businesses. This role is responsible for building performance-driven assortments that balance innovation, fit solutions, and commercial impact while ensuring category leadership in both core and seasonal product launches.
Key Responsibilities Technical Category Ownership
Own assortment architecture across shapewear and swim categories
Partner with Design and Technical teams to ensure product solutions meet performance expectations and commercial viability
Identify white-space opportunities for innovation and category expansion
Financial & Performance Management
Track weekly sales performance and KPI trends across channels
Provide actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams
Forecast monthly demand for new launches and carryover styles
Strategic Product Positioning
Recommend pricing strategies aligned to competitive landscape and brand positioning
Guide product investment decisions based on data, consumer insights, and trend forecasting
Launch Execution
Support go-to-market strategy and ensure successful product launches across Retail, Ecommerce, and Wholesale
Lead seasonal product knowledge presentations for internal teams
Consumer & Market Expertise
Maintain deep understanding of target customer needs, fit expectations, and performance priorities
Monitor competitive brands within shapewear, intimates, and swim markets
Leadership & Collaboration
Support junior team members and foster strong cross-functional partnerships
Drive continuous improvement across merchandising processes and systems
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
3–5 years merchandising or product experience (intimates, swim, or technical apparel preferred)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong analytical, forecasting, and assortment planning skills
Ability to translate consumer insight into product strategy
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth retail environments
