What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Lead strategic communications planning and execution for the Policy & Legislation team, collaborating with various internal stakeholders
Utilize data-informed approaches to develop advocacy goals, messaging, and communication strategies
Coordinate media engagement and coalition-building efforts to amplify policy goals and influence decision-makers
Supervise and manage staff within the Policy & Legislation hub, providing direction and fostering a collaborative environment
Drive content creation and branding initiatives to enhance Earthjustice's public profile and advocacy efforts
What is Required (Qualifications):
7+ years in public policy advocacy, communications, and government relations; 3+ years in a supervisory role
Bachelor's or master’s degree in relevant fields such as journalism, political science, communications, or public policy
Proven experience working on Capitol Hill or in state legislatures
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with media placements that influence policy conversations
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse teams and communities
