
Fire Protection Designer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Protection Sprinkler Designer to join our team. This individual will play a key role in designing and coordinating fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of hydraulic calculations, and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, code-compliant, and constructible designs.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop fire sprinkler system layouts in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes
Produce detailed drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and other industry-standard design tools
Perform hydraulic calculations and support project cost analysis
Review and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical specifications across multiple disciplines
Develop BIM models and conduct field surveys as needed to ensure accurate design integration
Generate material takeoffs and fabrication lists to support project execution
Coordinate closely with other trades and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration
Participate in project meetings and communicate technical information clearly to internal teams and clients
Support client relationships by delivering responsive, high-quality design solutions
Contribute to additional project tasks as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical field preferred
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including proficiency in hydraulic calculations
Solid understanding of fire protection system design and blueprint interpretation
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, HydraCAD, AutoSprink, or similar design software
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where project scopes and timelines may evolve
Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites as needed
Dependable, with the flexibility to support project demands, including extended hours when required
