
Chief Strategist – Global Macro

The Role
Reporting to the Global Head of research, the Chief Strategist will work closely with senior asset-class leaders to shape the firm’s overarching market narrative and research agenda.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the development of the firm’s global macro framework and investment narrative
Authoring and overseeing a flagship macro publication, supported by analysts and editorial resources
Translating macro developments into cross-asset implications for institutional investors
Engaging directly with CIOs, asset allocators, and senior portfolio managers globally
Representing the platform externally through conferences, investor events, and selective media engagement
Acting as a senior intellectual partner across research teams, ensuring coherence and conviction across the platform
This role is less about line management and more about
shaping the firm’s voice, influence, and research direction at the highest level .
Candidate Profile We are seeking a globally recognised macro thinker with the credibility to engage the most sophisticated investors.
Likely backgrounds include:
Senior global strategist at a leading investment bank or institutional research platform
Prominent macro voice at a hedge fund, asset manager, or independent research house
Established public commentator with a track record of influencing institutional thinking
Must be able to speak cross asset, even if current role is more single asset class
Key attributes:
Deep cross-asset macro expertise and a clear analytical framework
Credibility with CIOs and senior allocators
Strong written voice and ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
