Customs Entry Writer Import Entry Writer in Algonquin, IL
Full Time position 8-5pm, In-Office.

Salary commensurate with Experience
Job Description
Ensure Import / Export Transactions comply with U.S. Government Regulations under Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS), Schedule B classifications and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN)
Sound Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Codes, metal import experience, steel licensing, exclusions preferred
Strong FDA Experience
Tracking of inbound shipments with Shipping Lines/Airlines
Must have full understanding of LTL/TL carriers and Delivery Orders
Provide clientele with daily updates
Knowledge of ISF Filing procedures
Recognize routine and non-routine transactions for elevating discrepancies
Negotiate rates with carriers and quote clients
Job Requirements
Candidate must have at least 4 years of experience with Customs Broker/NVOCC or Freight Forwarder in Import Department
Candidate must have strong classification skills across a wide variety of commodities, strong ADD/CVD/FDA experience preferred and excellent communication skills
Seeking an energetic, motivated person who can handle fast pace industry with demanding clientele.
Person must be detail oriented and very organized.
College degree or equivalent work experience
Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of regulations of the following USG agencies: CBP, BIS, Census and other Government Agencies, Licensed Individual is a plus
