The Brand Ambassador will represent and grow this portfolio in the San Francisco and Northern California market, driving both brand equity and commercial performance. The role requires disciplined market execution, strong distributor collaboration, and strategic account development, with primary emphasis on expanding Pueblo Viejo while elevating the premium positioning of San Matías and the ultra-premium halo of Rey Sol.
Position Overview The Brand Ambassador is responsible for developing and executing a competitive market strategy across San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.
Pueblo Viejo
– Primary focus; drive distribution, well placements, menu placements, and velocity
San Matías
– Build premium awareness, placements, and sustainable growth
Rey Sol
– Establish prestige presence in select high-end accounts
This is a full-time, field-based position that blends sales execution, account management, education, and brand building.
Core Responsibilities Market Development & Account Management
Identify, prioritize, and develop key on- and off-premise accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with beverage directors, bar managers, retail buyers, and owners
Secure new distribution, back-bar placements, and permanent features
Drive incremental volume and depletions in priority accounts
Maintain a disciplined account visitation schedule

as a core tequila for Margarita and Paloma programs
Secure featured cocktails, menu placements, and staff recommendations
Elevate visibility of
San Matías
premium expressions
Strategically place
Rey Sol
in high-end, prestige-driven venues
Ensure effective POS execution and merchandising standards
Distributor Alignment & Field Engagement
Partner closely with distributor sales teams to align priorities
Conduct ride-withs to support and motivate sales representatives
Deliver product education and brand storytelling to distributor teams
Provide clear communication on goals, opportunities, and execution gaps
Brand Advocacy & Education
Conduct staff trainings, tastings, and trade education sessions
Represent the brands at trade and consumer events
Develop relationships with key trade influencers and community leaders
Identify local partnership and PR opportunities that support portfolio growth
Submit weekly activity reports and monthly performance summaries
Track distribution gains, account status, and execution metrics
Provide competitive insights and market trend analysis
Maintain organized CRM documentation and follow-up plans
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
3+ years experience in beverage alcohol (supplier, distributor, retail, or hospitality)
Tequila or premium spirits experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to build and manage key account relationships
Strong understanding of on-premise programming and retail merchandising
Experience executing in-market sales and marketing initiatives
Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated sales impact
Highly organized with strong time-management skills
Proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to influence distributor and trade stakeholders
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record and reliable vehicle
Must be at least 21 years of age
