About the Role SPA’s AEIG has an open Cybersecurity Analyst position to support network management and security for multiple systems and classifications supporting the Capability Program Executive, Aviation on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The selected candidate will help ensure confidentiality, availability, and integrity of multiple network systems across geographically separate locations by configuring, monitoring, and securing the network infrastructure.
Responsibilities Work Type: On Site (Redstone Arsenal, AL)
Actively monitoring security dashboards
Managing alert queues to identify suspicious activity
Performing regular analysis of network traffic and system logs to detect anomalies and potential threats
Investigating and responding to security alerts and incidents through initial triage, containment, and threat eradication, and participating in post‑incident analysis to recommend technical or procedural improvements that reduce the risk of recurrence
The position also requires analyzing cyber threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization
Configuring, administering, and troubleshooting routing, switching, and firewalls
LAN and WAN troubleshooting, firewall policy adjustment and enforcement
Monitoring network performance and security logs to detect potential security issues and incidents
Conduct configuration reviews to ensure and maintain compliance with regulations
Maintain network diagrams and documentation to support accreditation efforts and inspections
Qualifications
US Citizenship
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience
Must meet DoDI 8140 Certification (IAT Level II Minimum)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to various audiences
Solid understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security principles
A proactive and curious mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance with future upgrade to TOP SECRET
Highly Desired
Hands‑on experience with Windows Server operating systems
Familiarity with the configuration and management of Cisco switches and routers
Familiarity with Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, and Network Analysis Tools
Ability to interpret and apply DoD and Army level cybersecurity instructions and regulations
Active SECRET Security Clearance
This role includes 25% Travel possibility.
