Job Description
We are a property & casualty insurance agency in Danvers, MA, seeking a Part‑Time Commercial Lines Account Manager. The role involves managing a commercial lines book of business. Our agency, founded in 1976, is a small family‑run firm with fewer than 10 employees. We value open communication and teamwork to serve our valued clients. Business hours are 8:15 am‑4:30 pm Monday‑Friday (8:15 am‑3:30 pm on Fridays in summer). This part‑time position is flexible: either all day for 2‑3 days per week or 3‑6 hours per day Monday‑Friday.
Job Responsibilities
Answer phones and handle client requests
Quote and process new business policies
Conduct renewal remarketing
Collaborate with clients on inspection recommendations
Send renewal emails
Prepare certificates of insurance
Process endorsements and cancellations
Assist with client payments when needed
Work on new and renewal surplus lines business
Complete registry paperwork for clients
Cross‑sell current clients to other lines of business
Use mail system, fax, scanner, and email
Job Requirements
At least 1 year of agency experience in commercial lines
Valid P&C license
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Verbal and written English communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Ability to work in a small office environment
Good phone etiquette and ability to develop rapport
Reliable attendance
