Summary: We are seeking a specialized
UI/UX Engineer
to lead the frontend architecture of our enterprise low-code application builder. You will be responsible for creating a high-performance, drag-and-drop canvas that allows users to build complex layouts and data-driven interfaces. This role requires a rare blend of deep React engineering, sophisticated state management, and high-fidelity interaction design.
What You Will Be Doing:
Core Engineering Requirements (The Tech Stack)
State Management Proficiency: Advanced proficiency to manage the "Source of Truth." Must be comfortable with:
Transient state updates (subscribing without re-rendering).
Optimizing large-scale stores to handle thousands of interactive nodes.
Hybrid Styling (MUI + Tailwind): Mastery of integrating Material UI (MUI) for complex enterprise components (data grids, tree views) with Tailwind CSS for layout and custom utility-first styling.
Experience resolving CSS @layer priorities to ensure Tailwind overrides MUI's Emotion-based styles correctly.
Strategic UX & Product Design
Information Density: Ability to design enterprise-dense UIs that remain legible and intuitive when handling large datasets.
Property Inspectors: Designing logical, multi-tabbed configuration panels that map UI inputs directly to the underlying JSON state.
Component Pattern Libraries: Building a library of "meta-components" that are highly configurable by the end-user.
Enterprise-Class Quality Standards
TypeScript (Strict Mode): Mandatory. Must be able to architect complex types for the builder's recursive JSON schema.
Accessibility (A11y): Ensuring the builder is keyboard-navigable and screen-reader friendly (WCAG 2.1+ compliance).
Who We Are Looking For:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
Experience building Low-Code/No-Code platforms or highly interactive dashboards.
Performance Benchmarking: Proven ability to maintain 60fps during drag-and-drop operations on low-end hardware.
Knowledge of JSON Schema or AST (Abstract Syntax Trees) for representing UI as data.
Familiarity with the Vercel ecosystem for deployment and preview workflows.
Familiarity with React
Interaction Design for Drag and Drop interfaces:
Complex collision detection algorithms (e.g., nesting components within containers).
Building custom sensors (Keyboard, Pointer) and modifiers (Restricting movement to grids).
Sortable lists for layer management and property panels.
