We’re partnering with a Series A AI startup, based in San Francisco, looking for their first in-house Recruiter to build and scale the talent function during a pivotal growth phase.
This is a rare opportunity to design the recruiting engine from the ground up while partnering closely with founders and investors to hire world-class technical and GTM talent.
What You’ll Do
Own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, product, design, and GTM
Scale hiring to support 4× team growth over the next year
Directly source and close top startup talent (typically 10–15 hires per year)
Build and optimise recruiting processes, tools, and candidate experience
Partner with founders on headcount planning, org design, and talent strategy
Develop sourcing channels including direct sourcing, agencies, and investor networks
Track hiring metrics and continuously improve recruiting performance
Shape the employer brand and talent narrative in a competitive AI market
Over time, build and lead the recruiting team
What They’re Looking For
5–10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in high-growth startups (Series A–E)
Track record of hiring technical and GTM talent in competitive markets
Strong sourcing capability and ability to sell early-stage opportunities
Comfortable operating strategically and hands-on
Experience with ATS platforms such as Ashby, Greenhouse, Gem, or HireEZ
