Palm Sophia is an upscale private event venue located in Culver City, and has recently become an increasingly recognizable name in the Los Angeles event landscape. Our space has hosted celebrity weddings, Fortune 500 holiday celebrations, film festivals, wellness summits for companies such as TikTok, and high-profile brand activations.

The Opportunity

We are now seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Director of Sales and Events role—a polished, confident, and relationship-driven professional who will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and the public-facing ambassador of the Palm Sophia brand. This position is ideal for someone who has experience with events or hospitality, client experience, and sales. All inquiries are 100% inbound, primarily via Google—there is no cold calling or outbound prospecting. Success in this role comes from responsiveness, presence, follow-through, and the ability to guide clients seamlessly from inquiry to commitment. You will have significant autonomy, flexibility in scheduling, and the opportunity to grow alongside a venue with strong momentum and brand recognition.

Schedule

30–40 hours per week

Compensation

  • $750 weekly base
  • Expected monthly earnings: $4,000–$6,000+ per month
  • Expected annual earnings: $48,000 - $72,000+ per year

(We currently receive 25–30+ inbound inquiries per week and average ~3 events booked weekly.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound inquiries via email, phone, and text
  • Manage client communication and pipeline within Perfect Venue (CRM)
  • Conduct on-site tours of the venue that convert interest into bookings
  • Confidently close clients, secure contracts, and collect deposits
  • Curate a seamless, high-touch client experience from first contact through booking
  • Be present at select events to capture photo and video content for social media
  • Assist with light on-site coordination when appropriate
  • Support and contribute to Palm Sophia’s social media presence and brand voice – actively assist with managing our social media pages (Instagram, Facebook and TikTok)
  • Represent Palm Sophia with professionalism, warmth, discretion, and polish at all times

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in events, hospitality, luxury sales, or venue management
  • Strong closing ability and comfort asking for commitment and deposits
  • Excellent written, verbal, and in-person communication skills
  • Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently without micromanagement
  • Confident managing a flexible schedule and adapting in a live-event environment
  • Tech-savvy (email, CRM platforms, Microsoft Word, texting, social media)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
  • Available to work primarily on-site at our Culver City venue
