Continuations & Streaming Media Order Specialist
The Continuations and Streaming Media Order Specialist is responsible for establishing orders and solving complex problems concerning acquisitions and subscriptions of all continuation materials including print journals, online journals, databases, electronic books, and streaming video. Establishes orders for electronic resource package purchasing. Verifies order data, confirms subscriptions, and resolves problems for outstanding orders. Processes cancellations, cessations, and dealer changes. Receives, reviews and processes invoices. Primary contact for resolving invoicing issues. Maintains vendor information in integrated library system. Serves as a primary resource for correspondence with vendors and publishers regarding orders. Collaborates with supervisor, other staff in the Acquisitions and Electronic Resources Department, Libraries Business Office, Cataloging Unit and Collections Strategy unit. Provides high level of customer service. May supervise students and staff, as necessary. University Libraries' faculty and staff embrace Ohio State's

All other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. At least two years of experience in purchasing or accounts payable. Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. One year of experience using spreadsheet software and other applications for purposes of data organization and manipulation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively within and beyond own unit to complete complex tasks. Strong interpersonal and communications skills to seek input and keep stakeholders informed of changes or issues. Desired Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, especially accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in acquisitions, serials, or with academic electronic resources. Experience with inventory, task, and/or procurement systems. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles. Knowledge of or experience using financial systems such as Peoplesoft or Workday. Ability to work collaboratively to complete tasks; Strong prioritization, organization, and problem-solving skills; Persistent attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with a library services platform, such as Ex Libris' Alma. The posting range for this position is $17.50-$21.63 per hour.
