The Product Owner, AI & Data Workflows, supports the development, enhancement, and ongoing delivery of internal AI and data workflow tools used across the division. The role focuses on gathering requirements, coordinating with engineering and content teams, managing backlogs, and helping ensure that AI and data capabilities are delivered reliably and effectively. You will work within the Digital Platforms Product Management team to help translate user needs into functional product improvements that streamline internal processes and improve content and analytical workflows.
About the Role Grade Level (for internal use): 10
Responsibilities and Impact
Support the delivery of AI‑enabled features for content creation, data processing, and visualization by managing user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint activities.
Work with engineering and data science partners to clarify requirements, review progress, test features, and ensure capabilities meet user needs.
Gather feedback from internal teams to identify workflow pain points and help prioritize improvements in the product backlog.
Assist with the rollout of AI and data workflow tools by preparing documentation, training materials, release notes, and internal communications.
Conduct research on emerging internal and external AI capabilities to identify near‑term enhancements that improve efficiency or user experience.
Help define functional requirements for ML‑based and generative AI features that support internal analysis, modeling, and content workflows.
Track usage, performance metrics, and operational KPIs to evaluate tool effectiveness and identify areas for refinement.
Partner with omnichannel delivery, content publication, and platform engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of data workflow updates and AI‑powered capabilities.
Support the development and maintenance of self‑service data onboarding and data workflow tools, ensuring features are well‑documented and accessible.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, manage Jira backlogs, and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders to keep projects progressing on schedule.
Compensation & Benefits S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or related field.
3–5+ years of product management or related experience in a technology or data‑focused environment.
Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Ability to convert workflow requirements and technical discussions into clear, actionable user stories.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience using data to guide decisions.
Experience working in Agile environments with engineering, data science, UX, and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Agile SDLC processes and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira).
Experience helping deliver internal data workflow or automation tools.
Background or hands‑on experience in data science or engineering concepts.
Experience supporting AI‑enabled features or working with ML engineers or data scientists.
Experience preparing documentation, demos, and training for internal product rollouts.
