Architect / Architectural Drafter
who brings strong technical execution, coordination discipline, and real‑world construction awareness.
The Role This position supports the architectural production of custom residential projects from design development through construction documentation. The role requires someone who understands how drawings are actually used in the field and who values clarity, coordination, and constructability. This is not a purely conceptual architecture role; it is a documentation‑ and execution‑focused position within a collaborative design‑build environment. This is a full‑time, in‑office role based in Encinitas, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Produce architectural drawings and construction documents for custom residential projects
Develop detailed plans, sections, elevations, and details using Revit
Coordinate drawings across architecture, interiors, and structural elements
Support permitting and plan check responses as needed
Revise and maintain drawing sets throughout the construction phase
Collaborate closely with designers, builders, and project managers
Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and version control
What Success Looks Like
Drawing sets are clear, coordinated, and construction‑ready
Fewer RFIs and field clarifications due to strong documentation
Design intent is preserved through build execution
Architecture, interiors, and construction teams stay aligned
Qualifications
3‑5 years of professional experience in residential architecture or drafting
Strong proficiency in Revit
Experience with high‑end residential or custom homes preferred
Working knowledge of construction detailing and residential building practices
Detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑driven
Ability to work fully on‑site in a collaborative studio environment
