The Robert Brooks Foundation serves as the senior operational leader of The Robert Brooks Foundation and is responsible for advancing the Foundation’s mission of serving the poor and walking alongside individuals and families as they move from instability toward long-term self-sustainability.
About the Role This role focuses on cultivating a network of churches, ministries, service organizations, employers, educators, and counselors who together provide the support needed for participants to rebuild their lives. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the Foundation’s programs remain rooted in Jesus-Centered service and compassionate care for the poor.
Responsibilities
Mission and Ministry Leadership a personal, deep, relatable and demonstrated walk with Jesus Christ Demonstrate a deep passion and personal calling to serve the poor, the vulnerable, and those experiencing hardship. Lead the Foundation as a ministry that seeks to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the community. Ensure that all Foundation programs and interactions reflect Christ-centered compassion, dignity, and care. Help participants encounter hope, encouragement, and spiritual support as they walk through the LifePath program. Foster an environment where faith, service, and restoration are central to the Foundation’s work.
Partner Engagement and Development Build and maintain strong partnerships with churches, ministries, nonprofit organizations, employers, educators, counselors, and community service providers. Identify and develop new partnerships that provide essential services and opportunities for program participants. Work closely with churches and Christian organizations to encourage mentorship, discipleship, and volunteer engagement. Serve as an ambassador for the Foundation within the faith community and broader service network. Strengthen collaboration among partners to ensure participants receive coordinated support.
Program Leadership Oversee the implementation and growth of the LifePath program. Ensure that participants receive guidance and support across the Foundation’s seven development areas: Spiritual, Housing, Employment, Health, Education, Financial, and Social. Coordinate services provided through the Foundation’s partner network to ensure participants receive comprehensive support. Monitor participant progress and program outcomes to continually improve the effectiveness of the program.
Operational Leadership Manage the day-to-day operations of the Foundation including program coordination, housing support, volunteers, and community engagement. Establish systems that support program administration, participant tracking, and service coordination. Ensure housing and program guidelines are administered consistently and compassionately.
Community and Church Engagement Cultivate strong relationships with local churches and faith communities who share a commitment to serving the poor. Encourage volunteer participation, mentorship, and community support for program participants. Represent the Foundation at churches, community gatherings, and partner organizations to expand awareness and engagement.
Board Collaboration Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement the Foundation’s strategic vision. Provide regular updates on program progress, community engagement, and partnership development. Support the Board in expanding the Foundation’s impact and mission.
Qualifications A strong personal faith and a deep commitment to serving the poor through Jesus-Centered service. A heart for ministry and compassion for individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, or life instability. Experience working with nonprofit organizations, ministries, or community-based programs is preferred. Demonstrated ability to build meaningful partnerships and relationships across churches and community organizations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
