Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $97,984 - $129,828
Full Salary Range: $97,984 - $161,674
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Duties and Responsibilities Streamlines, implements and oversees contract and procurement processes. Attends expenditure review meetings and represents the Agency at procurement related hearings and meetings. Researches, reviews and/or prepares legal opinions, legislation, administrative rules, and other legal documents. Drafts and negotiates all Agency contracts. Reviews all Agency procurements and provides guidance and advice on enforcement and interpretation of contracts. Supervises and evaluates legal department staff. Provides daily support to staff. Assists and advises Agency in policy deliberations and implementation. Advises school officials and such other constituents as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited law school. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION) Licensed to practice law in Illinois. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION) Seven years of experience working as a licensed attorney. Experience with contract and procurement matters. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of education law and familiarity with education issues.
