In addition to these duties, this position supervises the Assistant Registrar, and student workers, if applicable.45% Management of Law Student Records & Curricular Functions* Serves as the official at the Law Center responsible for the creation, maintenance and certification of student records and ensures business processes and associated training and documentation result in accurate and complete collection of data.* Develops the Law Academic Calendar for consideration of law administration and faculty. This includes coordination of dates with the LSU University Registrar and other LSU campuses.* Schedules and manages the major academic processes that occur throughout the year: registration, payment of fees, refund schedules, examinations, grading, etc.* Maintains and updates law courses and degree audits in the Student Information System for all law courses and degree programs.* Manages efficient use of classrooms as the Law Center. This includes assignment of rooms for courses, exams and events related to student records.* Works with Law Faculty to provide consistent practice of academic policies and procedures for better overall quality of educational experience.* Creates SAP Academic Plans for students who are not eligible for financial aid due to low grade performance or poor completion percentage.* Schedules, Coordinates, and administers all Law Center examinations, in conjunction with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.* Oversees and coordinate grade entries and corrections, including mastery of. This involves understanding the Student Information System and grade entry systems.* Coordinates the revision of the Law Center Catalog, registration and schedules booklets and other publications and documents related to function of law student records. This includes updating the appropriate pages on the Law Center web site.* Oversees residence appeals for reclassification of law students for tuition and fee purposes.20% Leadership and Strategic Planning* Responsible for building strategic working relationships with Law and LSU leaders and key stakeholders.* Assists with conferral of degrees to law students who have successfully completed degree requirements.* Serves as Law Center’s liaison with University Information System in support of the student information system.* Liaises with other colleges, schools, and departments on campus to coordinate matters relating to cross-enrolled and joint degree seeking students.* Works collaboratively to contribute innovative ideas to the Dean on ways to achieve the goals of the Law Center.* Attends conferences and webinars to continue to move the department forward and upgrade professional knowledge of the registrar role in the profession.15% Supervision, Budget Oversight and Operations* Provides oversight and management of daily operations in the Law Student Records Office.* Monitors staff core functional efforts, proactively addressing work- flow, work distribution and/or staff performance.* Fosters an environment of collaboration supporting seamless integration with the Office of University Registrar (OUR) and services provided by the OUR for law students and alumni.* In collaboration with the Law Center Chief Fiscal Officer, prepares and manages annual budget requests and justification for Law Student Records.* With support of University Information System, LSU Office of Budget and Planning and other LSU units, if applicable, provides data in support of day-to-day operations as well as data analysis in support of academic and administration decisions and reporting.15% Compliance* Oversees and leads implementation and compliance of University and Law Center policies and procedures and applicable federal and state law regulations, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).* Assists in collection of data for various surveys and accrediting agencies includings, but not limited to, the Southern Association Commission on Colleges and American Bar Association.5% Other duties as assigned**Minimum Qualifications**• Bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum of 7 years higher education student services• Experience in higher education student information systems**Preferred Qualifications**• Significant experience in administrative support and/or office management.

• Experience in higher education student services.

• Some supervisory experience also preferred.**Hours**Standard workweek of Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm expected.
