Thrive Consulting CA is hiring: Head of Growth (Podcast & Social) in Austin

We’re hiring a Head of Growth to help scale the reach of the Modern Wisdom podcast across social platforms and short-form content. This is a senior role responsible for building and leading the distribution engine that brings the podcast to new audiences.

You will work closely with the host and the production team to transform long‑form conversations into high‑performing social content, develop platform‑specific growth strategies, and continually expand the show’s reach across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and emerging channels.

This role requires someone who understands the creator economy, has experience working with high‑profile creators, and knows how to turn strong ideas into content that travels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the content growth strategy across all social platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and others.
• Build and manage the short‑form content pipeline, ensuring every episode produces multiple clips optimized for distribution.
• Identify compelling moments from podcast episodes and turn them into high‑performing short‑form content.
• Collaborate with editors and the production team on packaging, titles, thumbnails, hooks, and storytelling.
• Analyze content performance and use data to inform growth strategy and content decisions.
• Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging distribution opportunities.
• Develop experiments and new content formats to continually expand the show’s audience.
• Work directly with the host and internal team to ensure the podcast remains a leading voice in the creator and intellectual media space.

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of experience working with high‑level creators, podcasts, or media brands.
• Proven experience growing creator‑led content across social platforms.
• Deep understanding of short‑form video strategy and platform distribution mechanics.
• Strong editorial instincts — you know what moments will resonate and travel online.
• Experience managing editors, content pipelines, or social media distribution teams.
• Comfortable working closely with creators and high‑profile talent.
• Highly proactive, strategic, and comfortable owning growth initiatives end‑to‑end.
• Experience helping grow a podcast or YouTube show to millions of views/listens.
• Deep familiarity with the Modern Wisdom podcast and its audience
