Selby Jennings is partnering with a boutique, middle-market real estate private equity firm with $1.5B+ in AUM, focused primarily on multifamily and industrial assets. We're seeking a high-performing Senior Analyst or Associate to join our lean, fast-growing team in a hybrid Asset Management and Investments role.
Role Overview This position begins with a strong focus on Asset Management and transitions into a hybrid role involving market research, underwriting, and acquisitions. You'll work directly with senior leadership on multifamily assets across the Southeast and Midwest, including Class B value-add and Class A new builds in midsize markets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and analyze apartment rent rolls, budgets, and expense structures
Build and run complex cash flow models and waterfalls for equity and credit funds
Support asset-level strategy, performance tracking, and scenario-based forecasting
Contribute to underwriting and market research as the role evolves
Collaborate with senior team members in a high-ownership, low-hierarchy environment
Ideal Candidate
2-4 years of experience in real estate private equity, asset management, or acquisitions
Strong modeling skills and analytical mindset; ability to run with guidance, not hand-holding
Familiarity with multifamily operations, rent growth dynamics, and budgeting
Chicago-based or willing to relocate; relocation and sign-on bonus available for top candidates
Compensation & Perks
Competitive base salary ($130K - $140K) (20% bonus)
Flexible hybrid schedule (3 days in office)
