Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
OSP Fiber Specialist / Senior Fiber Splicer
to support the deployment and maintenance of
fiber optic networks . This role combines
hands-on fiber splicing expertise with crew leadership and project coordination .
The ideal candidate has strong experience in
outside plant (OSP) fiber construction, fiber splicing, troubleshooting, and supervising field crews
supporting telecom infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise
OSP fiber optic construction and splicing projects
Perform and support
fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
Lead and mentor
fiber technicians and splicing crews
Coordinate with
project managers, telecom clients, and contractors
Ensure projects meet
timelines, safety standards, and budgets
Monitor project performance metrics such as
truck rolls, documentation accuracy, and production
Conduct
site inspections and quality control reviews
Ensure compliance with
OSHA safety standards and permitting requirements
Assist with
bids, cost forecasting, and contractor coordination
Required Experience
10+ years of experience in OSP fiber optic networks
Advanced
fiber splicing and fiber optic testing experience
Experience supervising
fiber splicing crews or telecom field teams
Knowledge of
fiber enclosures, OTDR testing, and fiber documentation
Experience in
telecom construction or fiber network deployment
Preferred Skills
Strong
leadership and crew management
Experience managing
multiple fiber projects
Knowledge of
telecom permitting and OSP construction standards
Excellent
problem solving and troubleshooting
