
Traffic Designer - EIT

Insight Global is seeking a EIT to Support senior traffic engineers in the planning and design of traffic-related infrastructure projects. Prepare traffic design plans, including signing and pavement markings, Traffic signal and lighting plans, Temporary traffic control (TTC) and maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components. Assist with projects of varying scope and complexity, from local roadway improvements to major interstate reconstruction. Conduct field work as needed, including traffic counts, roadway inventories, and field measurements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure design consistency and quality. Use industry-standard software and design tools to support project delivery. Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards

Required Experience:
1-3 YOE in traffic engineering, traffic planning, or transportation design
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) standards and specifications
Ability to multitask while working on many projects at once

Plusses:
EIT, or ability to obtain within 6 months, required. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title "Traffic Designer" and will be expected to obtain for career progression.
Working knowledge of PennDOT and PTC standards, specifications, and plan preparation.
Computer skills using Microsoft office, ProjectWise, HSC, and Synchro.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task while working on several projects at once.
