Sales Account Executive - Eurofins Built Environment Testing - Up to a $5K Sign-

The Sales Account Executive is a client-facing outside sales role operating within an assigned region. The role involves identifying and managing client accounts and business opportunities for Eurofins Built Environment Testing Division. The Account Executive will travel throughout the region to meet with clients and prospects, bringing in new business and cultivating existing relationships. Knowledge and understanding of the environmental industry is essential, specifically asbestos, lead, mold, and air testing. The assigned region is Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska, with the candidate required to live in the Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area. Travel is required, with the main focus on the Seattle Metro area.

Key Focus Areas

Maximizing market share, profitability, competitive advantage and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market.

Establish and maintain productive relationships with Eurofins clients.

Provide vision and acquire new accounts to sustain growth by representing Eurofins and communicating services to new customers and markets.

Identify opportunities and profitable work by following up on leads, negotiating, and closing.

Serve as a valuable interface between the customer and Eurofins, communicating the customer’s needs to the internal organization and advocating for the customer alongside a strong internal team from management, operations, technical staff, quoters, and project managers.

Account Executive Responsibilities (selected)

Meet individual revenue goals and the overall regional goal.

Establish and maintain a productive working relationship between the client and laboratory.

Ensure customer awareness of Eurofins Environment Testing capabilities and services to improve selling opportunities.

Provide a sales plan forecast for the assigned region.

Review credit status of new and existing customers before submitting bids or proposals.

Monitor accounts receivable status for assigned accounts and resolve collection issues.

Develop and recommend strategies for pricing and bid/no‑bid decisions, establish Master Service Agreements and provide budgetary information.

Develop client profiles to determine potential and ability to fund work.

Qualify, track, and close leads to increase revenue.

Report sales activity within the assigned area.

Update customer databases to identify business opportunities.

Maintain productive relationships between customers and the Eurofins Environment Testing organization.

Implement account plans detailing specific clients, revenue goals, and account objectives to attain regional revenue quotas.

Identify key target markets and major accounts and develop strategies within the assigned area to attain market position and maintain profitability.

Negotiate pricing and contractual issues within the area of responsibility with the approval of the Sales Director.

Present Eurofins as a network of laboratories to improve operational efficiencies.

Control expenses related to the selling function pursuant to Eurofins policy and with approval by the Sales Director.

Act as a sponsor for National Accounts as needed.

Provide feedback on market conditions to facilitate development of new products and services.

Maintain relationships with Eurofins network facilities to sustain awareness of operational issues.

Communicate outcomes of business opportunities regarding win/lose ratios and future pricing strategies.

Assist in forecasting information for Customer Service Managers to aid operational staff with resource and operational planning.

Assist in the development of sales materials and gather competitive intelligence.

Identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services within the assigned region.

Job Requirements

Degree in Sciences or related field preferred but not required.

Minimum 2–3 years progressively successful outside sales experience in a service industry.

5 years TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) experience preferred.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including some overnight travel.

Environmental industry knowledge preferred, specifically asbestos, lead, mold, and air testing.

Must reside in the Seattle, WA or possibly Portland, OR areas.

Valid driver’s license.

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Ideal Candidate

Sales specific skills: identification of prospects, interviewing, negotiating, and closing.

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Sales acumen and experience.

Lab experience and exposure to the environmental industry preferred.

Experience writing sales and account plans.

Working computer skills and familiarity with lab functions and terminology.

Analytical and planning abilities.

Self-directed and able to work in an unstructured environment.

Compensation and Benefits Compensation range: Up to a $70,000 base, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a generous commission plan.

Up to a $5,000 sign‑on bonus available for highly qualified candidates.

Position is full‑time, Monday through Friday.
