Job Description The Southwestern Advantage Sales Internship is an intensive 12–14 week summer program that provides hands‑on experience in sales, marketing, public relations, and leadership. Participants engage in in‑person sales, shadow experienced representatives, and spend time with leaders to gain deep insights into building the skills they need for a successful career.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Build lasting connections within assigned sales territories through direct in‑home visits and strong customer rapport.
Sell and market educational resources to families in designated territories.
Manage all aspects of the business, including ordering, inventory tracking, sales recording, basic accounting, scheduling, and product delivery.
Following successful completion of the program, interns have the opportunity to move into a leadership role and further grow their career with Southwestern Advantage!
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Self‑motivated, driven, and goal‑oriented.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to embrace new challenges and learn quickly.
Availability to work full‑time during the summer.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and consistently work in outdoor weather conditions.
Enthusiasm for sales, marketing, and personal development.
