
Interior Architect/Designer

Our client, a 10 person Architectural firm in NYC, is seeking an Interior Architect/Designer with a technical drafting and design background. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience at an architectural firm, be knowledgeable about plans, construction drawings, and CAD standards (with the ability to adapt them to various projects), and be comfortable modifying existing plans and working with redlines. A working knowledge of ADA and NYC building codes and standards is required with graphic talents and strong AutoCAD ability; Revit and 3D modeling/rendering experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Senior Architects and Designers
Prepare detailed drawings for construction plans and design presentations
Conduct site surveys and develop existing condition documentation
Attend construction meetings and document proposed changes
Coordinate with clients, the design team, consultants, and vendors
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements
Qualifications Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited architecture program, reside in the NYC area, possess a valid U.S. work permit, and demonstrate strong English language skills. Additional qualifications include multitasking ability, the capacity to handle concurrent projects on schedule, autonomous and teamwork skills, strong attention to detail, adaptability, a strong work ethic, and effective communication.
The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000.00 - $100,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
