About The Role As a Cybersecurity Operations & Vulnerability Management Intern, you will work with our vulnerability management analysts, using enterprise vulnerability scanning solutions to identify risks in our network and IT infrastructure and applications. You will gain hands‑on experience researching known security vulnerabilities and determining what mitigation options you should implement to address potential threats. You will report to the Cybersecurity Architecture Lead and be located at our Cranberry Township facility. This is a paid full‑time hybrid position for the summer.
Key Responsibilities
Perform vulnerability scans using industry‑standard scanning tools
Research publicly announced threats and determine their impact
Report weekly KPIs and KRIs identified by our security tools
Monitor security events in the enterprise SIEM
Write basic KQL queries when investigating threats in the SIEM
Capture investigation procedures and outcomes in formal reports
Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Completed sophomore year of college
Have a basic understanding of network topologies and protocols
Experience with query languages like KQL and SQL
