Commercial Legal Counsel We’re seeking a

Commercial Legal Counsel

who thrives in a high-growth SaaS environment and enjoys partnering closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations teams. This role will focus primarily on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements. The ideal candidate is pragmatic, business-oriented, and able to balance risk mitigation with deal enablement.

What You Will Do

Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer SaaS agreements, vendor and supplier agreements, NDAs, data processing agreements (DPAs), business associate agreements (BAAs), partnership agreements, and procurement and services agreements.

Provide clear, practical legal guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.

Partner closely with Sales on contract negotiations and redlines.

Develop and improve contract templates and playbooks.

Establish and manage clear SLAs for contract review and turnaround times.

Identify legal and commercial risks and propose pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.

Support compliance efforts related to data privacy and information security.

Help scale legal processes and infrastructure as the company continues to grow.

What You Will Bring

5+ years of relevant legal experience (law firm and/or in-house).

Strong experience in commercial contracts, in SaaS or technology companies.

Demonstrated experience negotiating customer and vendor agreements.

Experience in working with Business Associate Agreements (BAAs).

Working knowledge of HIPAA and U.S. healthcare privacy regulations.

Business-oriented mindset with strong judgment and risk assessment skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.

Nice to Have

Experience in B2B SaaS companies.

Familiarity with data privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).

Experience supporting international commercial agreements.

Experience building contract playbooks and scaling legal processes.

The base salary range for this position is $140K-$150K and equity. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

We have positions in Mountain View, Austin, Nashville, and Tel Aviv.
