Department Overview The Loan Servicing Operations Department is responsible for the payment and monitoring of insurance and property taxes for loans serviced by the residential Loan Servicing Department.

Position Overview Review incoming insurance policies to make sure they meet the minimum requirements. Contact borrowers and/or agents to clear any deficiencies and update the servicing system.

Role and Responsibilities

Sending requests to insurance agents to get updated insurance declarations

Calling insurance agents when updated insurance has not been received

Updating our servicing system with current insurance information

Scanning and imaging documents

Mailing checks to insurance companies to pay premiums

Minimum Qualifications

Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Prioritization and strong attention to detail (preferred).

Knowledge of homeowner’s insurance, including hazard, flood, and condo (preferred).

Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.

Progress Review

Monitors work through weekly reports to assess progress and ensure alignment with expectations.

Reviews completed projects to evaluate accuracy, understanding, and overall performance.

Experience and Knowledge Development The Intern will learn how to work as part of a team to complete projects, how to take ownership of a process and be responsible for it. They will also gain a better understanding of how a bank services a loan once it’s funded.
