The
Sales & Marketing Intern
will play an active role within the Automotive Business Unit (BU) team, gaining hands‑on exposure to how marketing and sales operate across the full B2B value chain. They will support the execution of regional market segment strategies, assist sales teams with data‑driven insights, and contribute to strategic decision‑making through market analysis and SOP‑related tasks.
During the internship, the student will own 1–2 meaningful projects that create real business impact:
Conduct a focused market study to uncover growth opportunities in a defined application area
Develop a smart, data‑enabled pipeline review tool that integrates market intelligence with existing business opportunities to support strategic planning
How You'll Help The Formula
Develop compelling market studies and executive‑ready presentations
Research market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Translate insights into clear, strategic narratives that support decision‑making
Support opportunity identification through data‑driven analysis
Analyze market data, customer segments, and opportunity pipelines
Highlight actionable insights that strengthen business development initiatives
Build and optimize digital tools for pipeline reviews and market potential assessments
Combine market intelligence with CRM or internal data
Create intuitive dashboards or models that enable better forecasting and prioritization
Other duties as assigned
Key Elements For Your Role
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong interest in product management, business development, and data analytics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Solid experience with Excel functions, pivot tables, and data handling
Ability to manage confidential information responsibly
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
A proactive mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and contribute
Travel to Grand Rapids, Walker and/or Sparta may be required, occasionally (up to 15%)
