The lululemon Global Marketing Technology Team oversees the technical aspects of lululemon's international marketing technology stack. We aim to provide world class shopping experiences for our guests by enabling data to effectively personalize communication to guests. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual who is excited about delivering data-driven capabilities to meet lululemon’s growing marketing, insights, analytics, and intelligence capabilities leveraging the best-in-class industry proven solutions. This individual must have a track record of working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment and should take pride in evolving the entire organization to create the future data technology platform for growth.
A day in the life
As a Senior engineer II, you are considered the technical owners of the production systems of you work on and focus on how the products are delivered and how to optimize them for efficiency, security and reliability. In this role, you will be dedicating a fair amount of time to the planning and discovery of tools and practices that lead our Martech space. You bring you a wealth of technical knowledge, and you have the ability to spread the knowledge to your co-workers. You will help form the core of our engineering practice at lululemon by contributing to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). You will be an example of what good engineering looks like and help others around you refine their skills. You will be part of a day-to-day production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. Having a DevOps mindset is the key to success in this role, as Engineers are commonly part of full DevOps teams that “own” all parts of software development, release pipelines, production monitoring, security and support.
Data pipeline creation and maintenance. Stack: Azure Cloud, Azure Databricks, Snowflake
Includes engineering, documentation, knowledge transfer to other engineers, future enhancements and maintenance
Create secure data views and publish them to the Enterprise Data Exchange via Snowflake for other lululemon teams to consume
Data pipeline modernization and migration via Databricks Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Unity Catalog
Problem solving in enterprise system and perform root cause analysis for issues.
Lead teams in developing software following architecture blueprint
Working with agile project delivery methodologies
Working with Martech technologies including DMPs (Adobe Audience Manager or similar), campaign orchestration (Salesforce journey builder, Unica Campaign) and data management services (data lake, Power BI or similar, and relational databases)
Experience in building/working with Customer Data Platforms
Experience in building data warehouse and customer 360 platform using cloud technologies
Experienced in designing/defining data products following architecture vision
Adhere to PII encryption and masking standards
DevOps Support
Support improvements to current CICD process
Production monitoring and failure support
Provide an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotations
Participate in discussions on how to improve DevOps
Be aware of product release and how that impacts our business
Perform engineering assignments using existing procedures and best practices
Conduct research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization efforts
Participate in and contribute to our Engineering Community of Practice
Qualifications
Completed Bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible
8 + years of relevant engineering experience
Azure certification is preferred.
Experience with DBT/DLT and working with Medallion Architecture
Experience with Azure Cloud deployments and Configurations.
Experience with CI/CD principles and best practices including Azure DevOps and Repos.
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Snowflake, and Storage Accounts.
Experience working with a Data Engineering team and understanding of Data Engineering practices.
Experience with Terraform and ARM templates is preferred.
Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
Experience with bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA, etc.
Experienced in managing outages, customer escalations, crisis management, and other similar circumstances.

$136,200 -$178,700 USD

; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
